On Sunday 8th November, the whole Arborfield Aces U14s squad will be swapping the football pitch for the running track, and we'd love you to join us.
Player Louis and his twin brother Jenson, are taking on a 5k community run at Arborfield Green to raise money for Dementia UK. Their dad was diagnosed with early onset vascular dementia at just 53. It was a real shock for the family, and the boys want to do something positive to help families facing the same thing.
As a team, we're proud to stand behind them. Every member of the Aces U14s will be running alongside Louis and Jenson to show our support, because at the Aces we look after our own, on and off the pitch.
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Its Admiral Nurses provide life-changing support to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. Every pound raised helps families get the care and guidance they need.
How you can help
• Sponsor them. Louis and Jenson have already raised £990 of their £1,000 target, thanks to 41 supporters. They're so close, so let's push them past the line and well beyond. Any amount, big or small, makes a difference. https://www.justgiving.com/page/louisjenson?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=WA
• Run with us. Whether you're a parent, sibling, friend, fellow Aces player or neighbour, you're welcome to join in. All ages and abilities are encouraged, and you can run, jog or walk.
